Both energy saving and smoothness must be taken into consideration when we are choosing which type of pneumatic actuators to buy. In order to carry out a simple pneumatic actuators experiment, motes might be used with an occupancy sensor. This results in smart illumination in unpopulated areas close to an area where people are present thanks to the pneumatic actuators decentralized algorithm. The initial values of the calculated pneumatic actuators control signals are mainly determined by sensor responses.
